Our Story

I am a product of a Montessori education.

Growing up, I struggled in the traditional school format, often feeling boxed in by rigid structures and standardised learning. But my early years in a Montessori nursery, coupled with the thoughtful toys my parents provided, opened a world of exploration for me. It was there that I first learned how to solve problems, not because I had to, but because I wanted to. That sense of curiosity and self-driven discovery carried me through university, where I graduated with an LLB in Law.

As a serial entrepreneur, I have failed more times than I can count. Yet each failure taught me a lesson, nudging me closer to the success I am beginning to see in my current ventures. Through every challenge, the problem-solving skills I developed as a child have been my most steadfast allies.

Monteseed was born out of frustration—frustration from seeing low-quality products being marketed as Montessori toys, but that fall short of fostering the critical life skills our children need. The world is changing rapidly, and the future belongs to those who can think independently and solve problems creatively. Yet, so many so-called Montessori toys are simply distractions in disguise.

I also realised a gap in understanding. Even years ago, my mother would look at each toy and wonder, “What will this do for him?” That curiosity led me to ensure that every toy we offer at Monteseed comes with a clearly defined outcome—an insight into how it will help your child grow and thrive.
